The World Bank Group is engaging with government officials, civil society, development partners, and the private sector to shape the new Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Papua New Guinea (PNG).
This framework will guide the Bank’s engagement over the next five years in support of PNG’s Medium Term Development Plan IV and in fulfilment of the World Bank Group’s vision to help member countries create a world free of poverty on a livable planet. The framework will help guide the Bank’s support for development that is inclusive, resilient and sustainable.
These consultations are an opportunity to gather feedback on the key issues, challenges, and opportunities facing PNG. Participants will help identify where and how the World Bank Group can be most effective in supporting the country to meet its development priorities.
The World Bank Group is committed to working closely with all stakeholders to ensure the new framework aligns with the needs and aspirations of the people of PNG.
Meeting Structure
The meetings will include a mix of presentations and open discussions. Each session will last around 1.5-2 hours, but there will be flexibility to adapt as needed based on the discussions.
Consultations with government, civil society, and the private sector will primarily be conducted in English and Tok Pisin.
