The World Bank Group (WBG)’s new Country Partnership Framework (CPF) with Thailand sets out a focused roadmap to advance Thailand’s global competitiveness, stimulate growth and jobs, and become a more inclusive economy. Under this partnership, the WBG and Thailand will work together to strengthen private sector dynamism for better jobs in a resilient economy. The CPF is closely aligned with Thailand’s 14th National Economic and Social Development Plan (2028–2032), the Government's Unified Strategy for Thailand's Future (10-Plus) agenda, and the Ministry of Finance's Strategy for Economic Recovery and Rehabilitation. It is also designed to remain flexible and adaptive to a changing environment.
Thailand’s CPF development process builds on more than 25 strategic consultations organized from June 2025 onwards, reaching more than 1000 participants on the flagship: Building Thailand’s Future Today, from June 2025 onwards. These consultations brought together a broad range of stakeholders – including government representatives, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, universities, civil society and development partners -- to help shape a shared vision for Thailand’s long-term competitiveness, resilience, and job creation.
Drawing on these discussions and partnerships, the WBG has identified priorities for the FY2027–2032 CPF and is continuing to consult with stakeholders to refine where the WBG can deliver the most effective financing, technical advisory, and knowledge support for Thailand’s development vision. The CPF is being prepared ahead of the IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings in Bangkok in October 2026.
