Ongoing dialogue or “consultations” between the World Bank Group (WBG) and stakeholders – government, civil society, media, academia, and the private sector – is a critical aspect of the WBG’s work. Tapping into a broad range of perspectives, exchanging views, and capturing feedback strengthens the outcomes and accountability of the Bank Group’s engagement and helps build enduring partnerships. It is through this dialogue that the Bank Group can help implement more effective solutions to local, regional and global development challenges.

This website is a platform for the WBG to consult online with interested and impacted parties on selected areas of our work, such as new policies or changes to regulations, Country Partnership Strategies, global thematic studies and programs. Consultations may also take place on other dedicated websites, through face-to-face engagements and on social media. Please see links below on consultations held on this platform.

Myanmar Performance Learning Review of the Country Partnership Framework

1 of 1
Myanmar Performance Learning Review

In 2015, the World Bank Group (WBG) completed a Country Partnership Framework (CPF), its first full strategy for Myanmar since 1984. The CPF outlines how the global knowledge, financing, and convening services of the WBG can support Myanmar and its people in transforming their country, reducing extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity. The CPF covers a period of three years from July 1st, 2014 to June 30th, 2017.  Usually done at mid-course of the CPF implementation, a Performance and Learning Review (PLR) of the CPF was delayed because of the long political transition, thus allowing the new administration to lead the dialogue on the WBG support.

  • FACE TO FACE MEETINGS: June 1, 2017 - June 30, 2017

The PLR aims to:

i. Review achievements and lesson-learned so far

ii. Consider adjustments based on changes in the country and government priorities, lessons learned and availability of new data

iii. Seek views of stakeholders on the proposed changes

A series of public consultations are being held from June 1, 2017 to June 30, 2017 with a wide range of stakeholders in all 14 states and regions, to inform the World Bank Group as it implements the CPF and aims to promote inclusive growth in Myanmar.

Aside from face-to-face consultations, the public is also encouraged to send feedback by email or through the World Bank Myanmar Facebook page.
