Egypt: Country Partnership Framework 2015-2019
The World Bank Group (WBG) is launching the second phase of its consultations with key stakeholders to help develop the Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for its partnership with the country from 2015 until 2019.
The CPF is a partnership plan and the main tool guiding the WBG's support for Egypt's development program. It starts from the country's own development goals and it is built around widespread consultations and engagement with all stakeholders.
Overview
The World Bank Group (WBG) is holding public consultations which will help develop the Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for its partnership with the Arab Republic of Egypt during the period of 2015-2019. The consultation process starts by a kick-off event with the World Bank Group's government counterparts on March 5, 2014. It is followed by a series of consultation meetings with different stakeholders in various governorates.

Phase 1
The consultations process will include face-to-face consultations meetings in several regions of the country as well as an online platform to enable wider participation. Consultations meetings are tentatively planned starting the second quarter of 2014. The online consultations are ongoing and are expected to continue through the end of the face-to-face consultations meetings.

Phase 2
The World Bank Group’s second round of discussions with various stakeholders throughout Egypt is taking place in Cairo, Alexandria and Aswan to prepare for a new partnership strategy which will guide the Group’s engagement in the country over the next five years.
The 2015-2019 Country Partnership Framework (CPF) aims at supporting Egypt’s development priorities consistent with the regional strategy of the World Bank Group in the Middle East and North Africa and the World Bank Group’s overarching goal of ending extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity.
